Who We Are

A Word from our Founders

In October 2001, our then two year-old son was diagnosed with acute lymphoblastic leukemia, the most common form of pediatric cancer. Today, thanks to advances in leukemia research and treatment, Gianluca is a happy and healthy young man enjoying life to the fullest.

The Vita Children’s Foundation was officially established in the fall of 2003, two years after having to witness first-hand what children afflicted with cancer had to endure for a chance at life.  Inspired by their courage and bravery, we decided that we needed to do our part to help them in their battle against this terrible disease.
